Question:
What all do I need to add a brake controller to my 2024 Atlas? I don't have a hitch or anything on it right now. Thanks.

For a complete towing setup you will need a hitch, 7-way wiring, and a brake controller. I recommend the following:
-Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76176
-T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # TK89FR
-Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7
-Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR
The Draw-Tite hitch is a Class IV with a 2" receiver. This has a bolt-on installation and comes with a lifetime warranty. The Tekonsha T-One is a 4-way which must be installed before upgrading to a 7-way. The # ETBC7 comes with the adapter, wiring, and everything else needed to add a 7-way once you get your 4-way installed.
The main unit of the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty installs behind the dash so only the control knob is visible. This gives it an OEM look that won't take up space in your vehicle. The knob controls the braking power and also acts as the manual override. The # RED69FR wiring harness will also be required for installation.
If you don't already have a ball mount, check out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, and a ball mount bag for storage.
I have attached some review and installation videos below for your reference.
