Replacement Option For A Jensen JWM60A RV Stereo System

Question:

The JWM6A in my trailer went bad after just 6 months. Send it to NY for repair and was returned due to parts shortage. What do you recommend for replacement that has the same wiring harness.

We do have other replacement options but manufacturers make their wiring harnesses different so you would have to resplice together your wiring to a new harness unless you used the same model stereo. To keep the same features you have with the # JWM60A you'll want to go with the Furrion RV Stereo w/ DVD Player # DV1230BL. This unit is a bit smaller so you'll need to make a dash plate to cover the gaps.

I typically just get a piece of plywood and sand it until the face and edges are smooth and then paint it black (you could use whatever color you want or stain the board) and use it to cover the original hole and then cut out a hole to mount the new stereo to it.

To swap over the wires you'll want to look at both wire harness diagrams and transfer them over to the new harness function by function. I've attached the wire harness diagrams below to make this process easier.
