Replacement 2 Inch Hitch For 1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Question:
I have a 1999 Ford F250 Super Duty crew cab short bed with a 7.3L diesel. It has a factory 2 inch receiver and the hole to hold the hitch is now 11/16 in diameter. Is it safe to continue to use this hitch or should it be replaced? I pull a 38 foot trail trailer which weighs around 9,000 lbs.

I definitely recommend replacing the 2 inch hitch on your 1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty to be on the safe side. For a 2 inch hitch that will fit your truck and has the capacity needed to pull a large travel trailer go with an option from Curt:
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15410
The # C15410 has a 2 inch receiver but is a Class V hitch with a 1,700 lb towing and 2,550 lb tongue weight capacity so it's got the necessary bulk for your travel trailer.
