Question:
What Ball do you recomend to use with the convert a ball? I have the Curt in ball and it is round but the inner tube inside is flat. The ball and the hitch grind and shave metal inside. Ive only used it for a week and, of course I greased it before I installed it. Also, it has plenty back and fourth play. Anytime I accelerate or brake it makes a knock. Everything is installed correctly and bolts are tight

The Convert-A-Ball Multi-Cushioned Gooseneck Trailer Coupler part # CG works with any 2-5/16" gooseneck hitch ball. That said, it isn't recommended to use a hitch ball that has an integrated release lever built into the ball. If it's a factory gooseneck hitch then odds are this is what you have, in which case I'd recommend the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit part # BWGNXA2061 or part # BWGNXA2062. In regards to the chucking, the only thing I can think of that would be the cause of the coupler is the set screw not being tight.
