Question:

Dear Etrailer, I bought a hitch for my 2015 Toyota Highlander a C13200 and I love it. Sadly, my car was totaled in an accident there were no injuries but I wasnt ready at all to get another car. I saved the hitch in the hopes that it would fit the new car, a 2023 Toyota Rav4 Prime. The hitch you sell for that is model C13416. That one looks a lot different from the one I have. Is there any chance the holes line up in the same place so I can keep using the hitch I have? Thank you.

Sorry to hear about your suv. The hitches for the 2023 Toyota RAV4 Prime are all custom fit and have a completely different mounting method than the item # C13200 hitch you had on your Highlander. The Curt item # C13416 mounts to the side of the frame to give it enough clearance around the muffler and trim. There is most likely not even predrilled holes underneath the frame which is what you old hitch requires.

I do have a better option for your 2023 Toyota RAV4 Prime. It is the etrailer Hitch item # e23ZR. This hitch is practically identical to the Curt one you were looking at but it has a matte finish that blends in better with your RAV4's trim. I really like this hitch because the crossbar is concealed behind the rear bumper and the 2" receiver is all that is visible.

If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C56434 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
