Question:

Hi I have a 2022 Silverado 3500 that I want to add extra led strip lights to but lights do not work is this the same problem as trailer back up cameras are having with the power to trailer lights?

The newer GM trucks have a PWM system that makes it difficult to use other products like LED light bars. For your application I recommend using the Furrion 7-Way Adapter # FR87PR along with the Pollak Adapter # PK12716 to match with your light strip bar.

If I used both adapters to connect led light strip, will the truck show in the infotainment system that I am connected to a trailer? Thanks

@Jason Possibly - it just depends on how the truck manufacturer set everything up. Typically the system will look for the basic trailer light functions being used or the 12V power function being used.
