Question:

My K68 trailer lamp control module on my 2023 GMC Canyon is not working for anything but my running lights. The dealership said it is testing out perfectly but suggested that my trailer was not drawing enough current to be recognized as a trailer. The info they gave me mentioned possibly using a load resister?

That is an issue we are seeing more and more with LED's becoming even more efficient. While you can install Load Resistors # DI34ZR on your trailer wiring a better option would be one of our adapters. We have the 7-Way Adapter # 20142 and 7-Way to 4/5-Way Adapter # C35FR which have built in resistors that will allow you to easily connect the adapter to any trailer with low draw LED lights.
