Question:

I have a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek and Im looking for a hitch to mount my Thule Helium Platform two-bike carrier. Two questions: 1. Is the distance from the face of the receiver to the center of the hitch pin hole at least 1.5 inches so the safety latch on the carrier will work properly? 2. Will there be sufficient clearance to allow the carrier to be folded up and clear the bumper? Thank you very much for your help!

The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to center of receiver is more than the 1-1/2" you need on the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12184. When we installed this receiver on a 2021 Crosstrek in our shop we found the hitch pin center hole to be 2" from the from the rear edge of the bumper. With your 2023 being the same body style you should have 3" of clearance with the Thule Helium Bike Rack TH44VR having 5" of distance when folded up.

I recommend installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467 when you install the receiver. This will allow you to use Auxiliary Lights # C53201 if your bikes impair the view of your tail lights to other drivers.
