Possible Options To Fix Broken Lid Hinge Ball Join On Thule Atlantis 1600

Question:
One of the ball joints broke off on my Thule Atlantis 1600. The lid lifter hinge is still working and does not need to be replaced, but I have no place to attach the front hinge on the lower part of the box because the ball joint has broken off. Is there a replacement part for this ball joint, or is there a good way to fix it? Thanks for you help with this!

Ouch!
The ball joint plate on your Thule Atlantis 1600 is not something that's available as a replacement part, so I'd try some epoxy/JBweld to re-attach it, or else you'll have to fabricate a way to keep the lid closed on that side.
While it wouldn't look the prettiest you could install a universal lock latch from a hardware store to the base and lid on that side to keep it from coming open if you can't get the ball joint fixed, or else you'd be looking at a complete replacement box like the # TH6357B which is a modern replacement for your now discontinued box.
