Will Installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver C15307 Increase Tongue Weight on 2020 Silverado 1500

Question:

I have a 2020 Silverado 1500 custom with a 4.3 v6. my question is the factory sticker on the door jam states 750lb tongue weight for the truck my camper has around a 1000lb tongue weight. if I replace the reviver hitch with a class v 2000 lb tongue weight rating will this help increase the 750lb tongue weight capacity of my truck? thank you.

While the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15307 is rated for more capacity than your factory receiver you will need to contact the service department at your local Chevrolet dealer to verify if this will increase your tongue weight. There may be other factors that limit the tongue weight allowed on your 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and not just the receiver.
