A bit pricey but a quality unit.
Perfect size and love the quality of this product.
Solid product. First one didn't survive UPS handling. But second one arrived intact and flawless within 2 days.
All inside edges are razor sharp. After cutting myself numerous times on both the lid and inside edge of the box I finally removed it and took the 2 minutes to run a machinists knife over all the edges. Sheetmetal working 101. It would take the manufacturer 15 seconds to do this before bending the box.
Will not seal against rain. The gasketing material was too thin and still had a plastic cover stuck to it which made it leak when driving in the rain. Had to buy a thicker gasket to replace it.
Lock is cheap, uses the same common key as most other brand boxes. Key from the built in box of another trailer opened it. You could easily break into the box with a screwdriver or even just pulling a corner up with your hand and bending the aluminum.
Lock mechanism is exposed on the inside, so if you have the box full of stuff, it can shift and jam the latch.
In retrospect, I feel ripped off. Not a higher quality box than the cheap ones. Only plus I can say about it is that it is made of thicker aluminum than most.
Overall quality of the box is impressive. Unfortunately, the lid wouldn’t open. Contacted customer service to return and to get a replacement shipped. After a week of not getting tracking, I called again. Another half-hour on hold. Finally was told a mix-up occurred and the item was never shipped. Guy on the phone talked to a manager and placed the re- ship order and that the box should ship in another two days. Totally unacceptable! etrailer customer service is pathetic!
The welding on the latch was very poor . The bracket that the latch is bolted to fell off. I had already installed it so there is no sending it back.

Great communication...would have given 5 stars..however who puts this huge sticker on the face of a polished Diamond Plate box?..took an hour to remove and then had to re-polish the face again??
Put it on the inside....then it's always a reminder...but don't screw up a beautiful polished Box
Perfect for my trailer! I needed a specific size and this one for the need. I've had the box for about a year and it is exactly as advertised. Well made and water-tight. Will purchase for my next trailer.
My cousin recommend etrailer after looking in local stores and many sites on line, finally I found the perfect tongue box. Donna P was helpful, going over every detail before I made the purchase. The quality from RC Manufacturing is high, a perfect fit and light weight. The delivery was fast, ordered it on Tuesday and in was delivered to my home in Colorado on Thursday.
Great box. Perfect size for the front of my horse trailer. It is large enough to hold my trailer aid, and all my tire changing tools as well as some misc other tools. It is tall enough to fit the necessities and free up room in my small tack room but it is also short enough that it does not interfere with the use of the hand crank on the tongue.
works great , we custom mounted for additional battery for electric tongue and lights inside , still has room for wood and tongue lock

No problems, nice add to utility trailer
Easy to install. Drill 4 holes bolt on & done. If I can do it any one can. Great storage for tie downs, tarps, and miscellaneous stuff .
My Aliner Scout Lite has limited space but this box fit perfect. Mounted on tray intended for propane tanks - laid treated boards to raise mounting surface. Bottom welds a little rough but I don't really care 'cause I can't see 'em! Lid and top edges razor sharp, sanded a bit to avoid bloodshed. One last step might be to paint protruding washers/nuts underneath. Wish I could have fit a bigger box but this little one still holds a lot!
Appears to be a quality product. Well built and sturdy for its weight. Nice welds and finish.

It has worked perfectly with no issues. It’s light weight yet sturdy and the latch works well.
Bought this storage box for my trailer. Picked this one as it was the perfect size for where it was going on the trailer. Looked at others but kept coming back to this one. Size and quality were the determining factors for me. Should last the life of the trailer. Well built and attractive. Only took me 1 hour to install with tapping and threading 3/8" bolts. It's got plenty of room for everything I need to carry with the trailer. Shipping was fast also. This is the 2nd item I've ordered from etrailer and will order again as the need arises!! AAA++++
I found this product, bordering on excellent. 4 stars because the top doesn't seal great, it wobbles a bit.
However, overall a very good box that fit perfectly in the battery tray for my Rockwood Mini 26'. It holds two batteries with their plastic cases. I plan on getting Lithium batteries soon and didn't want them easily stolen. This box locks and the the door raises easily.
I put a plywood board on the inside bottom that was Flex Sealed, and used that to bolt it to the RV. I also purchased
Rig Rite Manufacturing 615 Marine 2" Black Rubber Rigging Grommet, to allow my battery cables to penetrate the box. It worked great and is very secure.
The lid does not latch tight, I’m hoping water will not enter under the lid when I’m driving down the road. I see no way to adjust it tighter. I will review it again after testing it on the highway.

I do know on these you can adjust the latching mechanism with the nut behind the latch assembly. By tightening it, it should adjust the tightess on that latch when closed. Have you had a chance to test it out on the highway yet?
Works as I wanted and looks good. Matches my Featherlite trailer perfectly. Mounted winch battery box inside with enough space for tie downs and straps along with winch controls and battery isolator.
The tongue trailer tool boss was just what I expected. Was delivered in perfect condition which I was worried about after looking at other reviews. It also seems to be very sturdy built. I have no complaints.

I just got it installed on the tongue of my small camper but have not taken it anywhere yet, will do that today. I think its going to be fine. Seems like good quality. The hinge and lock seem to work well. I was a bit surprised they were as expensive as they were but the price on this site was better than anywhere else (especially with the free shipping). So far...so good.

working out well, sticks when opening but that might be a good thing! it has helped me a lot.
Appearance = 4, aside from some 'puddle' welding (pic) would have garnered a 4.5 to 5. Besides puddle there are average and very nice welds = 3.5-4. Specs - disappointing no dimensional notations regarding material thickness. I winged it due to Made in USA! etrailer availability & enthusiasm = 5+! Customer relations post sale = 3. "K" has spunk and backs her employer (5+) but should also listen. Delivery = 3.5. Possible del = 2 days, likely del = 3 days, real-time del = 4 days. Posted excuse - mechanical problem, which is not etrailers issue. Just poor shipper. Poor shipping seems to be a thing these days.
