my new truck is a 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 new body,i want a class iv square tube hitch,how do I make sure I get the right hitch

I can tell you exactly which trailer hitches fit your new body style of 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500, and there are two options depending on if you have the factory hitch or not, though neither of the hitches are a Class IV square tube hitch. The only trailer hitches that fit your 2019 Chevy Silverado are:

- If you do NOT have the factory trailer hitch receiver: Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13393

- If you DO have the factory trailer hitch receiver: Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15307

The 13393 is the hitch that is pictured and I have also added a link to a video showing this hitch being installed on a 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500; this is a Class III hitch, while the latter 15307 is a Class V hitch.

Hey Austin, for your 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 with a factory hitch we really only have a hitch that fits underneath your current hitch with the Curt #C15307 that you referenced. Is there anything wrong with your factory hitch?

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver #C15307 is installed with the factory receiver in place. This receiver will actually bolt to your factory receiver so it is required to leave the factory receiver installed to use the Curt receiver.

Since the Curt hitch part #C15307 fits right under the OEM hitch of your 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 you'd lose about 3 inches of ground clearance. Since the truck sits up pretty high though you most likely would not have any issues though.
