Hauling a heavy trailer or loading the bed shouldn’t leave the rear sagging or your headlights pointing skyward. The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs add up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity to keep your vehicle level and stable under weight. By installing between the frame and rear suspension, these double-convoluted air bags reduce strain on the rear axle, help maintain steering and braking control, and keep even load distribution when towing or hauling.
Every job or trip brings a different load, and this setup lets you fine-tune for each one. You can manually adjust air pressure between 5 psi and 100 psi with separate valves for each side. Add pressure to level off-center loads or drop it down when running empty for a smoother ride. This flexibility means better handling when loaded and a comfortable ride when not—without needing any special equipment besides a simple air source.
Rough roads and heavy loads can make every bump feel like a hit. These air springs absorb road shock and soften contact between axle and frame to prevent bottoming out. Four layers of reinforced rubber with a braided wire girdle create their double-convoluted shape, giving strong burst pressure resistance and cushioning that keeps the ride smooth even when fully loaded.
These air springs aren’t built just for show—they’re built to work. The rubber bellows are secured to corrosion-resistant metal end plates using a rolled crimp seal that locks out leaks. With durable brackets, hardware, air lines, and valves included for manual inflation, every piece is designed to handle the demands of towing, hauling, and daily use without giving up reliability.
Installing serious suspension support doesn’t have to be complicated. The Ride-Rite kit includes custom brackets that mount between your axle and frame using provided hardware. Depending on your setup, drilling may be required, but everything you need comes in the box—from fittings to air line tubing—so you can mount the system cleanly in your own workspace using basic tools.

Easy installation on the ground with hand tools. I mounted the air valves in front of my bed toolbox and needed every bit of the supplied tubing to get to the passenger side bag.

I am not a big fan of the Firestone kit. It was not difficult to install until it came to the air fitting on top of the air inlet on the bags. Not a very good design at all and this kit didn’t come with roll plates like I received in the last Air Lift system I purchased and not nearly as well engineered.
If I had it do over again I would have purchased another Air Lift system.
The air bags have performed great so far (I’ve done one trip)
I installed myself which only took about 2 1/2 hrs. I miss read the directions a couple times. Only thing the directions don’t say is if you over turn then back up the threaded air connector you might get a leak with just the factory thread sealant. Had to pull off and put tape on one connector.

Installed the F2615 air bag kit on my 2019 Ram 3500 4X4. I’m happy with the quality of the kit, and the installation was easily done in the driveway without jacking up the truck.
If it helps someone: I had previously installed a 1.5” leveling kit in the front end which was perfect. But now with the air bags lifting the rear a little, I wish I had installed the 2” leveling kit in the front.
These air bags work exactly as advertised. Easy installation. They provide excellent suspension support when we are towing our Montana fifth wheel which has a pin weight of 3400 pounds. It levels everything out and provides an excellent ride. The best part it our headlights are level as well.
This is my 4th set of Ride-Rite air helper springs and just like the last 3, they've worked flawlessly. I've been using them on my work trucks for years, and they are very effective when towing/hauling heavy loads, or even just to rake a truck back out after adding a front leveling kit. Huge bang for buck. Highly recommend.
Extremely satisfied with purchase, ride is 80% better while towing 42ft 5th wheel with ram dually and also while not towing I drop pressure to 13 psi which takes a lot of the bump shock out of the ride . Satisfied customer.
Ordered my Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs for my Ram 3500 and put them on myself. Being 71 and laying on the concrete floor I had to take a couple breaks but had them on and leakless in probably 6 hours. Teamed them up with a compressor with a fob and man I feel like a real trucker.
Bags have really stabilized my truck when hauling my pickup camper eliminating any roll. Couldn't be happier.

This is the second set of Firestone Ride-Rites I've owned. They perform perfectly at dampening bucking and chucking once you get the proper air pressure dialed in for your individual tongue weight, which is very simple but requires some experimentation with pressures. They literally take away all suspension bounce from your toe vehicle once your individual pressure is dialed in. I'd recommend these for anyone who tows or carries heavy loads.
Detailed instructions on easy to follow. Also, shipment was very fast, two days.
This kit was easy to install in a short amount of time using only common hand tools, the only problem I have is that the fittings for the air springs keep leaking, I have pulled the tubing back out and made sure the ends are cut square in installed correctly but they are still leaking. If it wasn't for this problem I would've rated this kit as excellent, overall still a very good kit, I just need to find some fittings that don't leak.

The kit has worked well over the last year, I air up and down almost on a daily basis depending on the load Im carrying at the time, I do this manually since I have on board.

The inner diameter of the Flat washers provided to mount the u-bolts were too small and were unusable.
The firestone ride rite bags shipped fast and easy to install on my 18 Ram 3500. The ride is amazing while pulling my 35' fithwheel. I would highly recommend this if your pulling some weight.
Easy installation instructions,looks great works great no leaks holds set pressure. In the future I will install pump ,to inflate and deflate as needed.

2015 Ram 3500 CCLB, Kit was received in a timely manner. Good packaging, no damaged components. I read the directions several times so I had a clear path to install. Directions are very specific without confusion.
Install: Took me about 3hrs. Could have been quicker, but I wasn't racing anybody. Very methodical about how everything was installed. Everything went just as the directions detailed. 1 missing note: no comment about the E Brake cable interfering with the L upper bracket. Cable settled into a reasonable position to prevent damage to the cable housing. Air fittings on top of bags: can be difficult to tighten due to the limited space. Use caution to prevent damage to the fittings.
I did use a compression "T" to combine both lines to 1 fill fitting. No really good place to put the fittings at the back of the truck. The supplied mount doesn't work with the round hitch on my Ram. I routed the air line up to the fuel door. Clean install and less chance of damage.
A suggestion for the manufacturer: Don't apply thread lock to the fasteners or air fittings. The thread lock on the upper bracket bolts created such an interference that I couldn't secure the bolt without breaking 1 of my 6mm Hex bit sockets. Also, thread sealant on the air fittings makes it extremely difficult to turn the fittings in the tight space. It would be better to supply a small tube of liquid thread lock and a small tube of liquid thread sealant in the kit.
Kit came missing 2 upper brackets and thrown in the box by what looks like a child. I talked to Etrailer who were very nice about dealing with the manufacturer. Unfortunately Ride Rite doesn't believe in sending the parts to complete the kit. They will ship a new complete kit and you must return the old kit. I told etrailer I needed the bags asap, Ride-Rite has not returned their emails or processed the order. It seems their customer service and packaging dept is lacking. If I were Etrailer I would be having a serious conversation with them and the way they treat customers. Returning the Ride-Rites and already ordered Air Lift from Etrailer. I will never buy Ride-Rite again. This is my 10th set of Air Bags I've purchased and certainly not my last. Thumbs up to Etrailer for their professionalism and customer service.
You did a good job at getting the proper fitting to me that was not included with the product...I was also given 4 improperly sized washers, but I have extras.... erailer did a good job, Firestone put the wrong parts in the box...
