Can You Increase The Load Capacity Of A 2022 Winnebago Navion Motorhome

Published 01/31/2023

Question:

I am considering a Winnebago Navion or View RV which has a MB Sprinter chassis. The OCCC is very low on these. Is there any upgrades you know of that will increase the cargo capacity? I read something about Super Springs? Thx.

It's a very common misconception that suspension products like the SumoSprings, air bags, or Timbrens # TMBRSP35A will increase the capacity of a vehicle or RV. Nothing will increase the load capacity since there are numerous other factors that play into the load capacity, such as the frame, tires, and many other components.

You'll see this a ton with flatbed trailers and it ends up bending or cracking the frame or blowing out the tires so you do not want to risk your safety or the safety of the RV by overloading it.

Suspension enhancement is only there to soften the ride quality so that you don't feel like you're riding in a wooden wagon and to help get you back to factory ride height when hauling items within the load capacity of the vehicle.

If the motorhome doesn't have the capacity that you need to haul the items you want then you'd need to either tow a trailer behind it (within the rated weight capacity) or choose a different motorhome that can handle the weight that you're trying to carry.

If you have any other questions please feel free to shoot them my way and I'd be more than happy to answer them.
