The Timbren overload spring/bumper was east to install and did what it was supposed to do when I hitched up a camp trailer. These did not negatively affect the ride by any means and I don't have to worry about the troubles with air bags.3615169

Stiffens and corrects kneel in rear end of 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500. You will notice a stiffening of the rear end suspension while unloaded, but it’s a fair trade off to prevent sagging and porpoising while towing. I found it easier to pull the rear wheels and work from the side than underneath the vehicle while installing.3581087

The timbres bump stop is exactly the right height to meet the axel when the trailer is connected with all its weight onto the hitch. I have an Andersen weight distribution hitch and it levels out perfectly. The day picture is with the coach (Winn 2100bh) with factory equipment. The night picture is after the timbres are in place. It has been almost a year since I installed Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems (DVF350 and DVR350R) on the front and rear of my 2003 Dodge RAM Van 3500. These bumpers replaced the OEM bump stops that were on my van. I like the Timbren bumpers much better than the OEM bump stops because they provide a progressively cushioned response for suspension compression when traveling over significant humps like speed bumps in a parking lot, or curb ramps into driveways. I did not like the abrupt stop the OEM bump stops provided when traveling over the same objects. I installed the Timbren rear bumpers first, and after a few months of use, I decided to add them to the front. In both cases, the front and rear Timbren bumpers were easy to install once the OEM bump stops were removed. Installation required reuse of the factory hardware. On my van, the Timbren bumpers are not always engaged. Under normal load and travel conditions the bumpers are relaxed and about 1/2” away from the suspension landing points. However, their presence is much appreciated and very noticeable when the van is carrying heavy loads or handling significant humps.3537594

2022 F250 Super Duty. Super easy to install. I have about 3/4" gap between the spring and the plate. Time will tell how they impact the ride quality and how much sag they mitigate with my 5th wheel hooked up.3390201

Absolutely Pleased with the TIMBRENS. They were easy to install, and took less than an hour to install both. I noticed a slight stiffness in the ride as the rear bounced over a bad roadway. Towing is great, with a nice level and smooth ride. I am glad that I did not order the heavier duty Timbrens, than what was recomended for my truck. I believe the ride would have been too stiff. If you look at the photos showing the timbrens, the truck is still lifted in the rear, so what you see is a big gap between the rubber, and the steal plate. When the truck is lowered, there's 1" of space as it should be. BTW, I have been purchasing from etrailer for years now, and I have to say that I have never had any issues with any orders. They are my go to folks for all of my vehicle suppension stuff and trailer stuff. You can't go wrong with buying from them.3315678

Easy install took about 20 minutes on my 2017 Ram 3500 SRW. Had about 1/2 inch clearance as recommended. Loaded up my 5th wheel (2350 hitch weight) and about 200 lbs of gear in the bed. Just got back from a 800 mile camping trip through mountains of TN. You can really feel the difference around those sharp corners and uneven surfaces. The truck felt firm and controlled not hard and jarring as some have mentioned. Going over those overpasses with the wonderfully smooth (Not) joists was greatly improved. The truck would squat and rebound again, with a firm controlled response. Driving without a load felt the same as before without them. I would highly recommend these! The YouTube videos to install these items say it is easy. That was not my experience. I had a very difficult time getting the Timbren bumpers into the slots on the vehicle where the factory bumpers were removed. I followed the YouTube procedure of raising the vehicle, inserting one end of the bumpers and as much of the other end as possible, placing a wooden block between the bumper and the bottom support then lowering the vehicle.
I had to repeat this procedure numerous times to get the bumper inserted. Maybe the problem was the temperature which was only about 55 f.The second one was more difficult and I finally had to pry open the holder slot somewhat to get the bumper info the slot. I believe this is one to have a shop install it.1558955

I installed these on my 2012 Mercedes Benz 3500 sprinter camper van they improved the rear ride and bodyroll when cornering. While not making it as good as air ride, I would recommend them because of the improvment compared to the cost. I did install them myself with a little bit of effort.3398171

I just installed this on my sprinter/airstream interstate. In the first few minutes of the test drive I noticed the difference. The ride is much more stable. No bounce on the backside of the speed bumps in my neighborhood and less roll in the turns. This is based on the rig unloaded. I imagine it will be more noticeable when loaded in the back storage carrier. I purchased the higher capacity - 11,000 lbs i believe... I watched the etrailer video and one from Timbren on YouTube. With all the additional RV components under the rig, taking off the tires was necessary. It also allowed me to install without getting underneath (sketchy without a lift). After lifting and removing tires, the toughest part is getting the second side of the part in the mount. I used dish soap and worked it in slowly moving from one end to the other. It took about 15 minutes of this repetition to get it to pop in. 809989

I put these on my 2025 Mercedes 3500 XD AWD Sprinter EXT 170 by Midwest automotive and absolutely love them. The sway is eliminated by 50% IMO when you pass 18 wheelers and when you get crosswinds from open roads. As you know these vehicles come at about 10,000 pounds curb weight and with these, it lifted my vehicle about 3/4 of an inch in the rear, which made it level out a little more when you don’t have the air suspension. They are not bumpy or anything when you drive on regular roads. You can’t even tell they are on. Installation was pretty quick. I just used the bar to pull the old ones out. I bent the little fins on the frame put the new ones on and bent them back in place.3385062

A great improvement in the suspension for stability and ride. They are one item added to improve the suspension along with Timbren bump stops in the front, Bilstein B6 struts and rear shocks plus a heavy duty Helwig anti-sway bar. My motor home now rides and drives with great improvement and is so much more stabile.
