Question:

Hello, I have a Airstream Bambi Sport with an existing Dometic 2250 fan. I want to upgrade it to a fan with the features of the FV803750. I also want to install the Dometic Fan-tastic Ultrabreeze Vent Cover. My questions are as follows: 1. Do I need to buy the FV803750 and replace the existing fan or is there an upgrade version that doesnt require replacing the entire existing fan? 2. Will the vent cover fit on the Bambi Sport, there isnt too much room up there. Also, will I have to drill into the trailer to secure it or will it attach to the existing attachments? 3. Do you have any installation videos for the process? Thank you,

I have some good news for your wallet because I reached out to the manufacturer, Dometic, who told me you can upgrade your 2250 Series Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent # FV802250 with the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent Assembly Upgrade Kit # FV807357 to get the same motorized assembly with remote that you would get with a whole new vent.

In regards to the covers, the Fan-Tastic Vent Ultra Breeze Trailer Roof Vent Cover # FVU1500WH is going to fit on top of your Airstream. They are only 23 inches long and 19-1/2 inches wide, and according to my research, and Airstream Bambi has a much larger length and width than that. You will only need to drill if you do not already have an existing vent.
