The best brake controller for your Yukon XL is going to be the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller item # RED24FR. This is a proportional brake controller that activates your trailer's brakes when your Yukon decelerates.
The reason the Tow-Pro Liberty is the best option is because of its unique installation method where the only visible portion is the control knob that's about the size of a nickel. The main unit is hidden away inside your dash to be completely out of the way and out of sight.
The Redarc has a 3-Axis accelerometer that measures deceleration in all directions for precise braking and smooth, uniform stopping action. It automatically adjusts the trailer's braking based on deceleration of your vehicle.
Since your 2019 GMC Yukon XL has the tow package you will want the Redarc Plug in Adapter item # 331-TPH-010.This adapter will plug right into your tow port and give you a simple installation. I have linked a review video below.
