Hi, everyone, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at our very own etrailer Square 2-Speed Drop Leg and Spring Return Weld-on Sidewind Jack. That's right, folks, it's an industrialized jack. As you can see, it's gonna let you raise and lower your gooseneck trailer, 5th-wheel trailer, or whatnot, and it's gonna be ideal for the demands of maybe heavy-duty agriculture, construction trailers, or just industrial work. Maybe you're a welder, or contractor, something like that. Pipe layer, who knows Now, you can purchase separately the companion jack that would go from the other side to this one, and then a cross shaft.
And you can also get a sidewind handle sold separately. And then, as well, you could get the weld-on clip for that sidewind handle that you could then weld on to the side of the jack. And then, that just keeps that handle, when you're not cranking it, out of the way and those kind of things. So very nice options to consider if you need them as well. Now getting into the jack itself, you do have nice grease Zerks here on the front and one here on the gear system here, and that's gonna make, whenever it comes time for maintenance and just keeping stuff greased, really, really simple.
Now speaking of the gears, it is a 2-speed gear. So if you are in high gear, you're gonna get about one inch of travel up or down for every 4 1/2 turns. And if you're in low gear, you're gonna get one inch up or down for every 34 1/2 turns. So a big difference from high, low. And if you've used these kind of jacks, you already kind of know those things as well anyways.
You do have a nice spring return handle here, and this is a side position plunger. So, one, it's easier to align the holes, it's already kind of in place with this outer tube. And then, two, whenever you do have to use the foot plate, it's a hand-free spring return, so it's gonna let you retract the leg just by simply using your foot. And you've got these two little handles here where you can maybe get your toe under and those kind of things. I do wanna throw up an image since I'm out of space here in the studio and I don't have it installed, obviously.
The picture on the left there is without the spring leg extension pulled out or anything, that's just with the regular jack cranked up. And then, you're gonna gain anywhere between about 13 to 18 inches of travel when you do that spring return. You do have about a couple options as far as the holes on that spring return and everything of adjustment down there. So keep that in mind, you've got lots of differences as far as the height whenever you're fully extended, as you can see on the right picture, versus if you don't have to use that drop leg on the left there. Now, everything here, as you can see, is a nice black painted and primed exterior. And also they have painted the inner and outer tubes exactly the same, and the foot plate, so you shouldn't have to worry about corrosion, and rust, or anything like that anytime soon by no means. And, like I mentioned before, you can get that extension cross member to go from this jack over to the other side, and the handle, and all that, again, sold separately. So, folks, this is our nice etrailer Square 2-Speed Drop Leg Jack with the Spring Return Leg. And, again, it is a sidewind operation. I think that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look together, folks. Again, I'm Steven, thanks so much for your time. I hope this information on the jack has been helpful for you today. If you need any more questions or anything answered, you can always reach out to us here at etrailer.com.
