Question:

I have a 2002 Nissan Xterra 2 wd 4 cyl that came without a tow package. I am having a hard time finding an adapter that fits to trailer wiring harness. Im needing the harness that has a 3 prong that goes under vehicle to connect to trailer wiring.

If you have an existing connector at the back of your 2002 Nissan Xterra like what matches up with the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C55244 (see attached photo) then you'll be good to use this part.

If this plug doesn't match what you have then you'll need to use a universal wiring kit like the Curt # C59496 instead. This is teed in behind your tail lights and will pull power from the battery on your Xterra to power the trailer lights.

To secure the 4-Way trailer connector at the back of your vehicle you can use the mounting brackets # 18144 and # 18140.
