Question:
I have a 2023 Chevy Silverado 3500 and I am needing to add a heavy duty trailer hitch. I didn't get one with the truck and it needs to be 2-1/2".

To add a heavy duty trailer hitch to your 2023 Chevy Silverado 3500, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C96CR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Silverado with included hardware. This hitch only fits the standard Silverado 3500's without a factory hitch. It will not fit the cab and chassis models.
The Curt Trailer Hitch item # C96CR is made in the USA, has a 2-1/2" receiver, and weighs 84 lbs. It is a class V hitch with a 20,000 lbs towing capacity, and a 2,700 lbs maximum tongue weight. It can be used with weight distribution systems but they will not increase the hitch or your trucks capacity.
For a ball mount that has a 20,000 lbs capacity you will want the Curt Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mount item # C93JR. This ball mount is for 2-1/2" hitch, it includes a 2-5/16" ball, and has a 6" drop.
I have linked the installation instructions below.
