Trimming Requirements For Draw-Tite Hitch # DT32RR On A 2023 Hyundai Palisade
Updated 11/17/2022 | Published 11/16/2022 >
Question:
I just purchased a 2023 Hyundai Palisade and I was looking at the Draw-Tite Hitch # DT32RR and it shows that trimming or removal of the underbody is required for installation. Can you provide some insight on what exactly I would have to trim?

When installing The etrailer Hitch # e95ZR onto your 2023 Hyundai Palisade, it does require some fascia trimming but it is not too bad. When looking at the instructions box 3 while using a tape measure, marker, and utility knife measure, mark, and trim the lower fascia as shown below. After trimming the fascia you will need to lower the vehicle exhaust by removing the side hangers. Make sure to support the exhaust to help prevent damage. If you spray a lubricant or soapy water on the metal hanger rod and the rubber isolator it will help with removal. After the fascia trimming and lowering the exhaust the hitch has an easy, bolt-on installation.
After installing the hitch on your Palisade, your vehicle will have a clean off the factory lot look with only the 2 inch receiver showing because hitch has a concealed cross tube.
If you reach back out to me and let me know what you plan on using the hitch for I will be able to recommend different items that can further your towing endeavors like a trailer wiring harness, a bike rack, or even a cargo carrier.
I attached an installation video link below of the Draw-Tite hitch being installed onto a 2022 Hyundai Palisade. The installation process will be the same for your 2023 Hyundai Palisade.
