Question:
Do I need to order replacement locks, or can the keys be replaced with the lock code? If so, is the code found one the inside of the lock? Fortunately they are unlocked.

The part that you referenced, Yakima Control Key # Y8007835, is used to remove an unlocked lock core from a Yakima cargo box or roof rack. If you still have your control key you can use it to remove the current lock cores from your Space Case cargo box to obtain the lock code. With the lock code you can then order the appropriate replacement keys.
If you do not have the control key you have the option of ordering a replacement control key by itself or with two new lock cylinders. We offer part # Y07202, which consists of a control key, two lock cylinders and two keys. This kit will allow you to remove the old locks and replace them in one step.
If you are not in a hurry you can instead use the control key you have (or the replacement # Y8007835 that you referenced) to remove the old locks to obtain their reference number, which appears on the side of the cylinder. With the lock core numbers you can then order just replacement keys. Please refer to the photo illustration of a lock core showing the reference number.
You can enter the lock core number in the search box on our site to find the replacement key. For example, if your lock core has number A-149 you will use replacement key # Y8772-A149.
