Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Demco Autoslide locking plate for your Lippert Rhino pin boxes. Now basically, this locking plate right here is designed to bolt onto your Lippert Rhino pin box to prevent the kingpin from pivoting inside your Demco Autoslide's fifth wheel trailer hitch. And as we mentioned, this is designed to fit on the Lippert Rhino pin boxes. It is a simple bolt-on installation, comes with the included hardware.
Basically, it'll include this capture plate adapter base, the two clamp push plates, four bolts, four jam nuts, and a nice set of instructions that'll describe how this installs. Basically, this plate here is gonna go around your kingpin. You can see the hole in it for your kingpin to come through. But this will go onto the pin box and then you'll attach it using these clamp plates that'll bolt right on there and hold it into place. It is made of a corrosion-resistant, durable carbide black powder coat finish on it.
And this part is made in the USA. But that should do it for a look at this Demco Autoslide locking plate for your Lippert Rhino pin boxes.

Fast delivery and products works great
Ordering was easy. I used the training videos to see which adapter plate I needed. The package was shipped with all the items I needed, even lock tight for the bolts. If the plate was made to slide on than bolted down would make installation easier. It was tough trying to hold the plate and hold the spacers in place while tightening the bolts, the spacers keep wanting to slide up due to the bolts turning. Then you have to make sure the plate is aligned. Would be better if it just slides on and fits. You will need two people to install.

I received my Locking Plate yesterday and really appreciate all of Nick's help in getting it to me pronto. It was a Thursday and we are picking up our new fifth wheel Monday. Unfortunately, I'm not real happy with the plate. I was very careful to not cross-thread the four bolts, but each would seize up after about a turn. It appears to be the powder coat creating the issue. So I carefully tightened each bolt slightly and then would remove and blow out any debris. However, I noticed the bolt threads were a little rounded off as I removed them. Hard to believe it's powder coat that could cause that. Seems more like an poor job of tapping the holes. Once I did get each bolt to thread, then the jam nuts did not want to go on because of the bolt thread deformation. I was able to work them on and of with wrenches and small steps and now it I think it will work out. Sorry, but it just shouldn't have been this difficult. Seems Demco could have QC'ed to make sure the bolts would insert without so much of a struggle.
Thought I would have to buy a new pin box... this capture plate saved the day. Thanks (really fast shipping)

Great- works out perfectly
If you bought a demco auto slider, this is an absolute must. I didnt know that at first and ended up breaking my auto slider. I hope this helps someone else avoid my same mistake.
Installing was relatively easy. Made my silly Rhino hitch work with auto slide.
