Question:
Hello I spent 3 hours trying to find the brake controller plug for my after-market tekonsha digital brake controller. Where would it be located at for a 2017 ford expedition XLT?

When installing your Teknosha controller with The Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 22292, the adapter will plug into the built-in connector beneath your vehicle's dashboard. To access the connector you will first need to locate the instrument cluster finish panel in the center of your dash, near the driver's side. Carefully pry the panel out and undo the locking tabs to remove the panel. Plug the adapter into the mating connector in the large gray housing behind the panel.
I attached an installation video link below that is installed on a 2009 Ford F-150 but the install will be very similar to that of your 2017 Ford Expedition.
