Hey Dave! To add a set of air bags to your 2017 Thor Chateau Motorhome on a E-450 chassis, I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs item # F22ZR. These air bags have a 5,000 lbs capacity. All mounting brackets are custom fit and hardware is included for the installation.
The Firestone item # F22ZR are going to be a far better choice than the Air Lift option item # AL88242. Number one the air bags are constructed better. The Firestone airbags use a crimp rolled design which is much more durable than the band clamp used with the Air Lift counter part.
The Firestone brackets are custom fit so they install in pre-existing holes unlike the Air Lift option that requires drilling into your frame. Additionally, the Air Lifts have a warning about not working if there's obstructions along the frame like supply lines. On E-450 cutout's it seems like there's always something the RV makers like to put in the way.
I also recommend adding the Firestone Air Command item # F2610 to your motorhome. This onboard compressor will allow you to adjust the PSI in your air bags from your phone.
What issues are you having that has you looking at adding airbags to your motorhome?
