Need dimension from back mounting surface to shock mounting hole distance out from trailer frame

The mounting bracket for the Lippert Bolt-On Shock Kit w/ Heavy Duty Gas Shocks # LC281255 for a 2-3/8" axle measures 1-1/2" while the same measurement for the part # LC281281 for a 3" axle measures 2-15/16".
