Question:
I am looking to have a 2inch EcoHitch hidden hitch installed on my 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid. I will not be towing anything. This is to use with a 2 inch Kuat Sherpa 2.0 bike rack. I have watched several videos for the installation on a Fusion and none of them specified that it was the hybrid not sure if that makes a difference. I understand that the under panel that sits behind the bumper will need to be removed and it will not go back on once the hitch is installed. But is there any reason that the whole bumper will need to be removed in order to install the hitch? Theres a huge difference in installation charge if the bumper has to be removed. Thanks

Good questions, and I can answer both for you. First, regarding fit, the EcoHitch does indeed fit your 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid; the only model it does not fit is the Fusion Sport. So as long as your Fusion Hybrid is NOT the Sport model, it will fit superbly. The correct part number for your Fusion Hybrid is the following:
- EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7239
As far as installation of the EcoHitch # 306-X7239, I verified you do NOT have to remove the whole bumper of your Fusion, just the underbody appearance panel, like you mentioned.
The hitch will be exactly what you need to use your Kuat Sherpa 2.0, and you'll even have enough bumper clearance to fold the rack up when you aren't using it.
