Does the foot sensor for hatch opening still work after install?

Yes, it does. The Oris AK41 Hitch with Detachable Hitch Receiver item # TS76VR only blocks it where the 2" receiver sits and you do not want to be kicking that spot anyways.

The Oris AK41 Hitch with Detachable Hitch Receiver item # TS76VR is custom fit for the 2021 Volvo XC90. It is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver that has a 3,500 lbs towing capacity and a 350 lbs maximum tongue weight. I really like this hitch because when you're not using it you can remove the receiver and not be able to tell you have a hitch installed.

What are you planning on using a hitch for?

It would be for a Velocirax with 5 mountain bikes. May be close the weight limit.

@ThomasH There's a bigger issue than weight capacity with the Velocirax bike rack. You have to have 3 3/8" past the center of the hitch pin hole towards the front of the vehicle. The Oris AK41 Hitch item # TS76VR does not have this. The only hitch that fits your 2021 Volvo XC90 that will work with a Velocirax bike rack is our etrailer item # e53KR. It's wide open at the back of the receiver and you'll have a few inches of room before you get close to your muffler. The etrailer Hitch item # e53KR has a 900 lbs tongue weight but you'll want to check your Volvo's owner's manual to see what your XC90's tongue weight capacity is and go off of that number. Additionally, there have been no issues with this hitch impacting the functions of the kick sensor.
