I have an older trailer that I built from pieces and I have two Torflex axles under it. I am looking to get wheel seals for it, but the serial number tags are gone. Can I go by spindle measurement to determine what model axles I have to buy parts?

If you're looking for grease seals for a Dexter Torflex Axle you have a few different options. The first would be to find the axle number or capacity which should be printed on the axle tag attached to the beam. If this isn't present or legible then you'd need to pull the hubs off and measures the hub/spindle or old seals using a dial caliper like part # PTW80157 to the nearest thousandth of an inch. The Double Lip Grease Seal part # 34823 for example is pretty common for 2,000 lb axles, it measures 1.249" inner diameter x 1.983" outer diameter.
