I didnt see in your reviews or info page on when purchasing the Curt Crosswing 5th wheel hitch what I would need to also purchase, if I do not have a puck system on my truck, but do have an installed BandW Gooseneck turn over ball hitch. Any chance that you will have a video review with installation of the Curt Crosswing 5th wheel hitch installed on a BandW Gooseneck turn over ball hitch? Also, where do you install the chains on the Curt Crosswing adapter that attaches to the fifth wheel pin box? Thank you,

The Curt CrossWing Lightweight 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C86JR will fit with the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1320 on your short bed 2021 Ram 2500 but you'll need to use the Demco 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter # DM6140 since the CrossWing connects to the truck via base rails as opposed to the gooseneck hitch ball.

As far as safety chains go, 5th wheel towing actually doesn't require the use of safety chains so that's one less thing you'll need to mess with.

I would like to point out that you have that short bed and this is a fixed hitch so your turning clearance will be more limiting and you may not be able to get your truck a full 90 degrees to your trailer.

If you're looking to connect your 5th wheel trailer to the B&W gooseneck hitch ball then you might be interested in the Convert-A-Ball Adapter # CAB-C5GX1216 instead. This installs on your pin box and then provides a coupler for the gooseneck ball to make that connection. It also offers an offset of 7-1/2" to help promote better turning clearance.
