It sounds like you're needing a longer ball mount like the Hidden Hitch Ball Mount # 80232. This measures 15-3/4" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the hole where the hitch ball is installed which should be pretty close to 12" longer than a standard ball mount. This can be used as a 3/4" rise or 2" drop depending on what you're needing.
For a ball mount you can use the 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # 63847 and then I also recommend using an anti-rattle hitch pin like the Let's Go Aero # 63232 to help stabilize the ball mount since it sits so much further out than a normal ball mount.
