Question:

The video review show the sleeve at 6.25 inches long but descriptions all say 8” long. So how long is it actually? Is there is an 8” and a 6.25 sleeve and if there is two different lengths, which would I get for my 2019 f 350 2.5” receiver?

I can definitely dispel any confusion you have. Like the video, I confirmed with Kuat that the total length of the Kuat Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve - 2-1/2" to 2" Hitch # KU93VR is 6-1/4" long. I went ahead and attached a diagram that shows this measurement.

As far as what length you need for the 2-1/2" receiver on your 2019 Ford F-350, this sleeve will sit flush with the opening of your hitch receiver. This is because the sleeve has elongated side holes that you can adjust to get the right fit for your hitch model.

The only reason we recommend a longer length is if you have bumper clearance issues with your model of Kuat bike rack. If the rack is currently experiencing bumper clearance issues without the sleeve, this sleeve will not solve that issue. If you need a longer extension that adds additional length to your hitch, I recommend using the Brophy Hitch Reducer and Extender - 2-1/2" to 2" Trailer Hitch # HR26. With this adapter, you extend the overall length of the hitch 7" from the receiver tube to provide extra length. It is important to note that the # HR26 reduces the overall capacity of your 2-1/2" hitch by 50%.
