I wish you would have asked this question prior to your purchase of the Curt Extender # C45791, because this extender will not work for your application. It is rated for the 3,500 lb total trailer weight towing capacity and because it is an adapter will also decrease your tongue weight rating of your trailer hitch by 50%.

Instead, you may want to consider the Brophy Ball Mount for 2" Hitch # BH20. This ball mount is capable of towing 10,000 lbs and has a measurement of 13-1/4 inches from the center of hitch pin hole to the center of the hitch ball hole. Then you can use a hitch ball like # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch diameter ball.

I may not have been clear. What I need is a 2 1/2" to 2" reducer that is at least 8" long and will serve as an extension to my existing travel trailer hitch. (and will need a 10k lb rating) Do you sell those?

The closest thing we have is the Brophy Hitch Reducer and Extender - 2-1/2" to 2" Trailer Hitch - 7" Long # HR26. You will need to use a weight distribution system to get the 10,000 lb capacity you need for your trailer when using this extender. Without it, you are limited to 5,000 lbs. This is only 7 inches instead of the 8 inches you are seeking, but it is the only adapter/extension/reducer we have with the capacity for your trailer.

Absolutely. I've linked the page to all of your options and you can see the price on each product page. My recommendation for you is the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37120ET. This system has a total tongue weight rating between 800 and 1200 lbs. That total tongue weight is your loaded trailer tongue weight along with any cargo behind the rear axle of your truck. You ideally want your total tongue weight to be in the center of that range. This weight distribution system comes with a hitch ball, but you will need to use a thin walled socket like # EQ70-00-4800 or # ALL643216 for installation of that hitch ball. Let me know if you have any further questions.
