Solution for carrying canoe on the roof of a 2010 Ford Ranger single cab with 6 foot bed

You can always expect a reply from us here at Etrailer! I have a solution for you, however, there unfortunately is not a roof rack custom-made for the 2010 Ford Ranger standard cab. Instead, there are two routes that come to mind for you to haul your kayak on the roof.

Option 1: Thule TracRac TracONE Ladder Rack w/ Cantilever - Fixed Mount - 800 lbs - Silver # TH27000XT-EX. This is a ladder rack with a cantilever that hangs over the roof, acting as a roof rack. With the three crossbars, you will have more than enough room and support for a canoe. While this setup is not height-adjustable, all three crossbars are level with each other.

Option 2: Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Aluminum - 500 lbs - 60" Crossbars # Y01151-57 and Yakima EasyTop Universal Fit Roof Rack - Padded - 80 lbs # Y07418. The OverHaul is a ladder rack with two crossbars for your truck bed, and the EasyTop is a universal padded roof rack that straps onto your roof to act as a third crossbar for the canoe.

While either option would work for you, I recommend going with the Thule TracRac 3-crossbar setup. This would be a one-and-done solution, and is actually more affordable than Option 2. You could carry the canoe on top and secure it with Yakima Bow/Stern Tie-Down Ropes w/ Ratchets and Strap Loops # Y04031. For even more cushion and stability, you can add Malone Canoe Carrier with Tie-Downs - Foam Block Style # MPG156 and # MAL25VR (2 more foam blocks) for a total of 6 foam blocks to secure the canoe to the three crossbars.
