Trailer Hitch Receiver For a 2022 Toyota Highlander With 28" Diameter Spare Tire

Question:

My spare measures 28 inches across, will it work with the drawtite max hitch? Im looking for a hidden hitch. Would the etrailer work as well or not ? Need to know for sure before ordering today. Thx

You will be able to use either the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT84MR or etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e75ZR on your 2022 Toyota Highlander. With your spare having a measurement of 28" across that tells me it is the compact spare on an 18" wheel. The full size spares are both 30" in diameter with one on a 18" wheel and the other on a 20" wheel. I prefer the etrailer receiver as it has the matte black finish that matches well against the fascia and it is made in the USA.

I recommend adding either the 4-Way T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK99FR or 7-Way Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK57VR based on what you may tow. The 4-way works for most small trailers while the 7-way will be needed for trailers that use electric brakes or have a charge line for an onboard battery.
