Im writing about this part: Replacement Base Pad for Thule Kayak Carriers - Qty 1 Item # 8535302 ............. From your photos and video it appears this part does NOT include the thin foam pad that the Thule attached to it. The soft pad that a kayak actually rests on. It is this part that I need to replace. Please clarify: Does your part include this necessary soft pad or not? Thank you.

The Replacement Base Pad for Thule Kayak Carriers # 8535302 is made of rubber and does not have any additional foam padding. This base pad is a direct replacement from Thule for carriers like the Hull-A-Port # TH834. This is the same part that comes on the carrier and others like it which can be seen in the picture below.

Depending on the model you have, you may be looking for different padding. We have the Replacement 50 mm Arm Pad # 8533019, Replacement 6" Pad # 853-5540, and Replacement Top Tube Pad # 8537418 as well. You can see the same base pad # 8535302 is used on other carriers if you take a look at the images on the product pages.
