Recommended Flat Towing Components For A 2018 Chevy Equinox 2LT AWD

AWD models of the 2018 Chevy Equinox have to have a 1.6L Diesel engine in order to be able to be flat towed. If your 2018 Chevy Equinox 2LT meets this requirement then you'll need the following equipment:

Tow Bar: The etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e34ZR will fit the baseplate you were looking at. Safety cables are included so you won't have to purchase these separately and the adjustable shank helps to keep the tow bar level between your vehicle and motorhome without needing an adapter.

Baseplate: The etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit # e98965 you were looking at will be a fit.

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: If you have incandescent lights then you'll need the Roadmaster Smart Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Wiring Kit # RM26FR.

If you have LED lights then you'll need the Roadmaster Smart Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Wiring Kit # RM38FR.

Braking System: Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39524. This system comes with a charge line kit that will help keep your vehicle's battery charged while you tow so you never have to worry about it dying and then having to deal with jumping it.

Safety Cables: The tow bar I recommended above already has these so you don't need to buy more.

Since your vehicle has combined wiring you'll also need the Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751489 to prevent the brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the motorhome.
