Question:

Please let me know if this hitch will work on the is250c which is the convertible mode. The roof stores in the trunk cause it is a convertible hardtop

For the 2012 Lexus IS 250C convertible we do have a trailer hitch that will fit but # C11372 that you referenced will not fit. The hitch that will fit is # C11047. I have included a link to the installation details for you.

If you plan on doing some towing, first consult the owners manual to make sure the vehicle can tow and for its towing capacity. For a ball mount use # C45522 and pin and clip # PC2. For a ball use # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch or # 19258 for a 2 inch. And for trailer wiring use # C56142.

If you plan on using the hitch for something like a bike rack or cargo carrier then Curt states you will need to use a stabilization strap # 18050 to reduce some of the stress on the hitch. Be sure that accessories you use are Class I compatible.
