Trailer Hitch For A 2011 Lexus IS 250 or IS 350

Question:

I am looking for a hitch for a 2011 Lexus IS250C or IS350C My father owns both The intent is to haul a light weight mobility scooter on a rack or lift. Thanks!

Hi Mike!

The Curt # C11372 hitch you found will actually fit both the 2011 Lexus IS 250 and the IS 350, which makes it easier. However, it should be noted that this is a Class 1 hitch and has 200 pounds of tongue weight.

Do you already have the carrier/rack?

Hey Mike, Did you end up getting the Curt hitch for your Lexus to haul the mobility scooter? I'm curious if it worked out for you, as it could really help others in a similar situation.

We found a lighter smaller scooter dad is trying to carry it on the passenger seat, If that is too cumbersome we will do the hitch. The next concern is to find a rack for a 1 1/4 receiver to avoid modifying the hitch.

@MikeK Makes sense. With the # C11372 hitch being a Class 1, it will limit you a bit, but the 19x47 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 300 lbs # C18110 will fit without modification and gives you a good amount of room. We may have something that will work better than that if you need, but just let me know if you decide to go that way! Always here to help! : )
