Troubleshooting Lack Of Power To My Furrion S Backup Camera From My 2018 Ford F-150

Question:
Furrion S backup camera not powering up to factory installed set-up, I have exhausted options when installing the camera: I was able to place the camera directly to the battery with allegator clips and I get the blue lingt indicating i getting power. 2. Ive taken the splices from both the power and ground and placed the 2 allegator clips to them and to the camera, the camera does not power up, I do have the backup lights powered on directly from the battery and not the vehicle. All of the 3 rear running lights are lit up. 3. Ive taken the cover off one of the lower running lights and attached the power and ground allegator clips and the camera powers on. 4. Ive taken a separate tractor light purchased at Tractor Supply and attached it to the factory installed harness and it lights up. Furrion Support indicated I would need adapter cable P/N F2BC004XXBK typically required for Chevy becasue the issue is not enough power being generated to power the camera up. Do you know if this adapter will work on the F150 or is there another suggestion or adaptor I could purchase?

Expert Reply:
Yes, using the 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter w/ Power Switch for Furrion RV Observation Camera, part # FR87PR, will correct for this issue. Furrion's cameras are wired into the running light circuit. The newer GM, Chevrolet, and Ford trucks all have this particular issue. This adapter works with your vehicle's power management software to ensure your camera is getting the right amount of power.
