Best Solar Panel for Keeping Breakaway Battery Charged
Updated 05/24/2022 | Published 05/22/2022 >
Question:
I have an air ride suspension on my Gator made trailer. Im looking for options to keep the marine battery charged. My 7 pin plug has 6 holes currently in use. Only open slot is the center. Can I run a lead from the battery to the center pin? Or could I add the lead to the 1 o clock position thats being used for the break away system?

I have a solution for you but you won't be able to get enough power off of the center pin. That's the reverse circuit and it has the least amount of voltage. You won't be able to charge both your break away system and your marine battery off of the accessory circuit either. I recommend using the Bright Way Solar Battery Charger - 7.5 Watt Solar Panel item # BRW54FR to keep your breakaway battery charged and then using the accessory circuit to charge your marine battery. I have linked a review video below.
