Hi, I am looking for a hitch to put on my Casita. Will any of your special hitches work on a rear Casita bumper/ Thanks

I did some research on the Casita travel trailers and after speaking with Casita, I found that the bumper on the Casita travel trailers were not designed to support any additional weight due to its construction. They also said they do not recommend mounting a hitch or any other type of accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier on the bumper.

One option that may work for you is a frame mount trailer hitch such as the Curt Adjustable Width Hitch, # 13703. This is a universal RV style trailer hitch that can be bolted or welded to the frame of the Casita. Drilling would be required to bolt the hitch in place and we recommend any welding be done by a qualified professional. I have attached an installation video of this hitch. The trailer in the video is different from your Casita, but the video should give you an idea on what will be involved for the installation.

If you were looking to use the trailer hitch to carry a bike rack or cargo carrier, you may be able to use a multipurpose ball mount like the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount, # D210, on your tow vehicle. This ball mount provides an additional 2 inch receiver for a bike rack or cargo carrier.
