Question:

I want to put a portable generator on here and run a cord through the door you see on the trailer, is this possible to say mount this sideways on the outer bar one closest also how may i theft protect my generator from there? any suggestions?

You can try fitting the Stromberg Carlson Trailer Tray Cargo Carrier # CC-255 sideways but it wasn't designed to be installed that way so I recommend installing it the correct way and routing your wiring to it that way.

This will fit A-Frames that are 12" - 52" wide and frame height of 3-1/2" - 6-1/2". As long as your A-Frame fits within these specs it will fit just fine.

You can secure the portable generator to the platform using straps like the Erickson Ratchet Tie-Down Straps # E01418 and then you can lock it to your trailer frame by using a cable lock like the 10' etrailer Cable Lock # e98891.
