Hey Mark, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the ShakeStopper Heavy Duty 2" Hitch Receiver # MNT72VR can work for carrying e-bikes, but there are a few things you'll want to consider.

The main limiting factor here is the capacity of your bumper. Adding support brackets definitely helps, but you'll want to be sure the bumper is adequately rated for the weight of your bike rack and both bikes.

Also, not all e-bike racks are suited for use on a trailer, so you'll want to be sure your rack is rated for use on the back of a travel trailer. For example, the Lets Go Aero V-Lectric VFR Bike Rack # LGA25VR can hold two e-bikes weighing up to 80 lbs apiece, and it is rated for RVs and travel trailers.

What kind of bikes do you have?

Caution: I bought this ShakeStopper and attached to my tube hose bumper (2021 Lance) so I could haul two E-Bikes. The welds on the hose tube bumper failed, not the ShakeStopper. I almost lost the entire set up including the E-bikes.... Use caution and check frequently when traveling if you are attaching to the tube style bumper.

@Allan Oh yikes! Sorry to hear that happened. Yea the bumper is definitely the limiting factor with a setup like that. Thanks for sharing your experience!

The Shakestopper HD hitch/receiver I have on my 2022 Open range 323rl, is very good for my slide in adjustable rack. The rack is rated for 500 lbs. but my bumper is not. I only have an Weber little smokie grill,an 36 inch tub of fire wood, and a fold up aluminum step stool, all about 150 lbs. Your bumper should have a weight limit in owner's manual, or if you have a bumper that is bolted and welded on, it should most likely be around the 500 lb. rating. E- bikes or very heavy depending on the size. 2 E- bikes on a 500 lb. rated rack would not be safe enough for myself . They will create a whole lot of bouncing. I suggest 1 rear and 1 front mount if possible with your setup.

@Mamu Nice! Glad to hear the Shakestopper hitch is working out. Good point about checking that bumper rating - that's super important. Thanks for sharing your experience!
