Question:
I do not have room on top of the rear bumper of my 2012 Springdale trailer due too close to body, could I bolt the mount on the bottom of the bumper? Thanks.

I spoke with my contact at Swagman about the possibility of mounting the bumper bracket for the Platform-Style 2 Bike Rack # S64663 so that the receiver is below the RV bumper. He said that while they have heard of customers doing this, they do not recommend it as the bracket has not been tested in this manner.
If you have a 4 inch square bumper on your RV then another option is to first mount the Buyers Products RV Universal Receiver Hitch # 3371804060, which has been tested and rated to use below the rear bumper (see attached image).
You can then still use the Swagman Platform-Style Bike Rack # S64663 by inserting the shank directly into the Buyers receiver or another trailer-approved rack like the Swagman Dispatch # S44FR that will give you a bit more ground clearance for your application.
I have attached a few short video demonstrations on these products that you can also check out.
