Why does curt say this is only intended for long bed trucks? I have a turning point system on the fifth wheel. Curt customer rep still recommended this part but Im just wanting your thoughts. Thank you

The reason the Curt OEM 5th Wheel Hitch Legs for Nissan Titan XD Towing Prep Package # C16026 say they are intended for long bed trucks is because they are fixed legs instead of a slider. What this comes down to is turning clearance. Any bed length under 8' either needs a sliding hitch or a rotating pin box to allow for the needed clearance when making turns at slow speeds. You having a rotating pin box solves that issue for you.

There is one other thing you will need to pay attention to and that is the hitch head that you use. Since you have a rotating pin box you will want to use the Replacement Head Unit for Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16540 because the "A" series is compatible with rotating hitch heads while the "Q" series is not.
