Question:

I have a question about a Firestone Ride Ride kit for a RAM 1500 2018. Im looking for a kit with air bladders that can be inflated when needed. And when the product description says capacity is it referring to hitch weight or overall trailer weight.

As long as you don't have the factory Air Suspension or the Rebel model you'll want the Firestone Coil-to-Air-Spring Conversion Kit # F2595 for your 2018 Ram 1500. This is an air spring kit that can be adjusted to fit your towing/hauling needs depending on how you're using your truck from day to day.

The 3,000 lb weight rating of this kit has to do with how much payload weight the air springs will help to support as these aren't designed to take the place of your OEM suspension. They won't increase the weight rating of your Ram but they can help support and offer more control with up to 3,000 lbs of weight placed on your rear suspension (so it could be payload or tongue weight from a trailer).

If you're wanting the ability to monitor and adjust your air bags on the fly then I also recommend picking up the Firestone Air Command I # F2158.
