Question:

Do I understand correctly that the Curt 13397 2 hitch is recommended for hybrid touring Honda CRV 2022 but the 11/4 12169 is NOT? Latter says it will not work with hands free lift gate. Other doesnt mention? Thank you

According to Curt, neither the # C13397 or the # C12169 is a fit for Hybrid Touring Honda CRV models after the 2020 model year, but our installers have successfully installed it on such a vehicle, and we've received customer reviews confirming that the hitch works with the Touring Hybrid.

Originally, the hitch didn't work with the hands-free liftgate feature, but Curt has redesigned the hitch so it's compatible. All stock we have on hand is the redesigned hitch.

Our installers haven't installed the # C12169, so I can't say if it fits the 2022 CRV Touring Hybrid. I will say that we always recommend folks choose the Class III hitch with the 2 inch receiver if the option's available. There are many more available hitch mounted accessories that are compatible with a 2 inch hitch, and the hitch with the more common 2 inch hitch is usually very similar in cost to the 1-1/4 inch receiver model.
