The RockyMounts HighNoon FC # RKY74MR and MonoRail # RKY10004-10005 are very similar, but do have a few differences. The HighNoon has a 45lb per bike capacity when hauling three bikes or 60lb per bike capacity when hauling only two bikes. The MonoRail only has a 45lb per bike capacity regardless of how many bikes you use.
Both options can can handle up to a 5" wide tire but the HighNoon has a slightly larger maximum wheelbase at 52", versus the MonoRail's 50" maximum. The HighNoon also includes straps on the ratcheting hooks to give you a bit more security. The MonoRail is slightly heavier as well at 63lbs versus the HighNoon's 53lbs.
The differences make me lean towards the HighNoon, but a few of the guys in the shop here have the single and double versions of the MonoRail and love them so either way you'll be getting a good rack. I've attached a couple of review videos AJ made for these racks so you can get a better look at them in use.

Hi Kevin, The max wheelbase of the monorail is stated as 50" in the etrailer videos and description, as well as the rockymounts website. Can you confirm the 48" in your comparison should be 50"? Also, per the rockymounts website, the weight of both is the same at 53 lbs. Can you confirm which is correct...your comparison or the rockymounts website? Thanks, Rolland
