Question:

I am looking to flat tow my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. According to your website I need MOPAR RV towing wiring harness kit #82216418AA. However, when I find this kit, it is for 2018-2021 Grand Cherokee. Does this kit fit my 2015? If not, do you have an updated kit number? Thanks.

I've had a lot of back and forth with MOPAR dealers about the necessity of their wiring kit and was ultimately told that it's best for you to call or bring your Jeep to the dealer to go over every spec of your 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee to determine if it's needed. From what I can see on my side you shouldn't need it, but it's always best to verify with the manufacturer.

As for the other flat towing components, you'll need a tow bar, base plate, tow bar wiring kit, braking system, and safety cables. I have the following recommendations for you below:

Tow Bar: etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e74ZR. This tow bar is specifically designed to fit Roadmaster direct-connect base plates.
